Environmental options

mIRage environmental options broaden the applications range with heating, cooling and flow cells. 

Heating and Cooling Stages for PSC mIRage IR+Raman Microscope Systems

Available for both mIRage and mIRage-LS

Models: HCS-120, HCS-250

(*item shown in picture corresponds to an unreleased variant)

  • All stages are pre-mounted on a base plate (17 cm x 13 cm) for an easy exchange with mIRage’s standard slide insert
  • Aperture is fitted with a 200 µm CaF2 window to create a sealable and purgeable environment (includes purge ports)
  • Removable top cover to change sample
  • HCS-120, Peltier temperature controlled, -20 °C to 120 °C
    • Max heating rate: +40 °C per minute at 37 °C
    • Max cooling rate: -10 °C per minute at 37 °C
    • No Aux ports
  • HCS-250, resistive heater, ambient cooled, ambient to 250 °C
    • Max heating rate: +40 °C per minute at 37 °C

Flow-Through-Fluid-Cell – Co-Propagating mode

Available for both mIRage and mIRage-LS

Custom O-PTIR flow through fluid cell for optimized live cell imaging.

Demountable for exchange windows and metallic pathlength (range of pathlengths) defining rings (supplied). 5 x 350um thick CaF2 top windows are supplied. Lower window is 1mm quartz. (cells to be mounted on CaF2 and OPTIR measurements will not detect quartz in this configuration)

Flow-Through-Fluid-Cell – Counter-Propagating mode

Available for the mIRage-LS

Counter Propagating O-PTIR Flow-through-fluid-cell for optimized live cell IR spectroscopy and imaging.

Fluid cell designed for counter propagating mode which allows for the flow/exchange of the fluid in the cell. The design includes top and bottom windows which can be easily exchanged for cleaning as well as metallic spacers to set the gap between the windows.

For counter propagation operation, 3 x 350um thick CaF2 bottom windows are supplied as well as type #1 15 mm dia. glass cover slip for top window. This model is for mIRage-LS only.
